13th September 2008 - Gilestone Car Boot Sale

Thanks To everyone who donated items for Nicky to sell on the Friends Car Boot.  there were very few customer who bartered Nicky down!

The venue was Gilestone Park, Talybont and what an amazing setting it was, the sun shone, the kids played and we even managed to get a few customers.

We would like to extend our thanks to the Car Boot Sellers, without whom the day would not have been so successful.  We managed to raise £90 between Nicky's sales and the Selling fees.

To increase our sales we had Nia, Tracey & Gareth on the barbie!  No one was allowed to escape without buying a burger, bacon buttie or coffee!  they also manged to raise a £160.00.  This would not have been possible without a very kind donation from Huw (Rees's Dad!) who paid for ALL the Burgers (Don't worry he didn't eat them all!)

A huge thanks as well to Chris & Gerraint Thomas for hosting the event.  Chris & Gerraint also offered to "Match Fund" the event and subsequently have doubled what we raised! So, thank you to Gilestone for donating another £250.00 through match funding.

All The money raised from this event will be used to pay for the new carpet soon to be fitted in the School Foyer.
